GreynirCorrect GreynirCorrect is a Python package and a command line tool for checking and correcting context-independent spelling errors in Icelandic text. GreynirCorrect relies on the Tokenizer package, by the same authors, to tokenize text. More information at: https://github.com/mideind/GreynirCorrect GreynirCorrect er Python-pakki og skipanalínutól sem leiðréttir ósamhengisháðar ritvillur í íslenskum texta. GreynirCorrect reiðir sig á Tokenizer-pakkann, eftir sömu höfunda, til að tilreiða textann. Frekari upplýsingar á: https://github.com/mideind/
  • UDPipe

UDPipe is an trainable pipeline for tokenization, tagging, lemmatization and dependency parsing of CoNLL-U files. UDPipe is language-agnostic and can be trained given only annotated data in CoNLL-U format. Trained models are provided for nearly all UD treebanks. UDPipe is available as a binary, as a library for C++, Python, Perl, Java, C#, and as a web service. UDPipe is a free software under Mozilla Public License 2.0 (http://www.mozilla.org/MPL/2.0/) and the linguistic models are free for non-commercial use and distributed under CC BY-NC-SA (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/) license, although for some models the original data used to create the model may impose additional licensing conditions. UDPipe is versioned using Semantic Versioning (http://semver.org/). UDPipe website http://ufal.mff.cuni.cz/udpipe contains download links of both the released packages and trained models, hosts documentation and offers online demo. UDPipe development repository http://github.com/ufal/udpipe is hosted on GitHub.
  • BinPackage (0.3.1)

BinPackage is a Python Package that embeds the vocabulary of the DMII (bin.arnastofnun.is) and offers various lookups and queries of the data. • Alexia: Lexicon Acquisition Tool for Icelandic (Orðtökutól) 1.0

The purpose of the lexicon acquisition tool is to facilitate the development and expansion of online dictionaries and glossaries, particularly the Database of Modern Icelandic Inflection (DMII/BÍN) and ISLEX. The tool is designed around the Icelandic Gigaword Corpus (IGC) and the information contained within its TEI-formatted documents. That is to say, its best performance comes from using the available part-of-speech tags, lemmas and word forms defined in the IGC. The lexicon acquisition tool can however use any corpus as input that uses either the same TEI-format as is used in the IGC or a plain text file format, depending on the user's preference. The output files, examples of which are included, are the following: Frequency per word form with no extra information added. Useful for generally picking candidates for the online dictionaries and glossaries. Frequency per lemma with no extra information added. Useful for generally picking candidates for the online dictionaries and glossaries. Frequency per word form, including information on all possible lemmas for the given word forms. Provides information on whether the word form can belong to more than one word class, as well as whether or not the automatic lemmatization is working correctly. Frequency per lemma, including information on all possible word forms for the given lemma. To examine if a certain word form appears much more or less frequently than the others and thus if the word form is only used as a part of a certain expression. Frequency per lemma, including information in which types of text the particular lemma appears. The frequency for each individual text type can also be examined in descending order. Facilitates the creation of a specialized glossary (e.g. a glossary of sport related words). Also included is a list of approximately 60 thousand subwords, manually chosen from the ICG. These include foreign words, typos, misspelled words, lemmatization errors and acronyms.
  • COMBO-based UD Parser for Icelandic 22.12

ENGLISH: This Universal Dependencies parser for Icelandic was trained with COMBO [1]. This version of it was trained on v2.11 of UD_Icelandic-IcePaHC [2] and UD_Icelandic-Modern [3]. (Note that texts in UD_Icelandic-Modern [3] labeled RUV_TGS_2017 and RUV_ESP_2017 were not included here as these were originally parsed with COMBO-based UD Parser 22.10 [4] and the output subsequently corrected.) The parser utilizes information from an ELECTRA language model [4]. Its UAS (unlabeled attachment score) is 88.80 (89.00 on a pre-tokenized text file) and its LAS (labeled attachment score) is 85.52 (85.71 if pre-tokenized).   ICELANDIC: Þessi UD-þáttari var þjálfaður með COMBO [1]. Hann var þjálfaður á útgáfu 2.11 af UD_Icelandic-IcePaHC [2] og UD_Icelandic-Modern [3]. (Ath. að textar í UD_Icelandic-Modern [3] merktir RUV_TGS_2017 og RUV_ESP_2017 voru ekki notaðir við þjálfunina þar sem þeir voru upphaflega þáttaðir með COMBO-based UD Parser 22.10 [4] og úttakið leiðrétt að því loknu.) Þáttarinn nýtir sér upplýsingar úr ELECTRA-mállíkani [5]. Hann skorar 88.80 (89.00 á fortókuðu skjali) á UAS (unlabeled attachment score) og 85.52 (85.71 á fortókuðu skjali) á LAS (labeled attachment score). • Debiasing Algorithm through Model Adaptation

Debiasing Algorithm through Model Adaptation (DAMA) is based on guarding stereotypical gender signals and model editing. DAMA is performed on specific modules prone to convey gender bias, as shown by causal tracing. Our novel method effectively reduces gender bias in LLaMA models in three diagnostic tests: generation, coreference (WinoBias), and stereotypical sentence likelihood (StereoSet). The method does not change the model’s architecture, parameter count, or inference cost. We have also shown that the model’s performance in language modeling and a diverse set of downstream tasks is almost unaffected. This package contains both the source codes and English, English-to-Czech, and English-to-German datasets.
  • Corpus extraction tool LIST 1.3

The LIST corpus extraction tool is a Java program for extracting lists from text corpora on the levels of characters, word parts, words, and word sets. It supports VERT and TEI P5 XML formats and outputs .CSV files that can be imported into Microsoft Excel or similar statistical processing software. Version 1.3 adds support for the KOST 2.0 Slovene Learner Corpus (http://hdl.handle.net/11356/1887) in XML format. It also allows program execution using the command line (see 00README.txt for details), and uses a later version of Java (tested using JDK 21). In addition, Windows users no longer need to have Java installed on their computers to run the program.
  • Q-CAT Corpus Annotation Tool 1.1

The Q-CAT (Querying-Supported Corpus Annotation Tool) is a computational tool for manual annotation of language corpora, which also enables advanced queries on top of these annotations. The tool has been used in various annotation campaigns related to the ssj500k reference training corpus of Slovenian (http://hdl.handle.net/11356/1210), such as named entities, dependency syntax, semantic roles and multi-word expressions, but it can also be used for adding new annotation layers of various types to this or other language corpora. Q-CAT is a .NET application, which runs on Windows operating system. Version 1.1 enables the automatic attribution of token IDs and personalized font adjustments.
  • Visible Vowels (2017-05-29)

This program enables the user to visualize f0 contours, to plot vowels in the F1/F2 space for multiple points in the vowel interval, e.g. at 20%, 50% and 80%, and to visualize vowel durations. (The tool is implemented in R. We used the following packages: phonR, gplots, plotrix, lattice, readxl, WriteXLS, DT, psych and pracma. We thank the developers of these packages.)
  • Periphraser

Periphraser is a tool for storing and presenting knowledge base of conventionalized periphrastic nominal expressions (i.e. phrases headed by a noun) together with their textually attested realizations. For instance, the database entry for the phrase ,,Robert Lewandowski'' in the demo for Polish will include the phrase ,,the Polish international'' while ,,pediatrics'' will be featured as ,,medical care for children''. It allows contacting with database using REST API as well as exporting it to XML or CSV format. For Polish language, it also provides some more complex mechanisms like: automatic semantic and syntactic normalization, errors autodetection (also based on NKJP frequency and amount of results returned by the web browser), and simple interface for commenting and marking possibly wrong entries or ones needing improvement.
